Dental Assistant You must practice under a licensed dentist. If you will be performing phlebotomy or venipuncture procedures, then you must obtain the proper training. You can perform a rubber cup prophy either through 8 hours of on-the-job training from a licensed dentist, or by taking classes through an accredited curriculum. Expanded Duty Dental Assistant You must have a high school diploma or equivalent. You must have a current and valid basic life saving and CPR certification.
You must provide proof and documentation of your successfully completed, board-approved courses.
