You are permitted to perform basic dental procedures under the supervision of a licensed dentist or dental hygienist.

There are no education or training requirements in Nevada.

On the application renewal of the licensed dentist who owns the dental office, names and addresses of every dental assistant who assists in procedures for infection control, along with the start date of employment must be listed. It must also be stated that each listed employee has received appropriate training in infection control and is qualified to operate sterilization and other types of equipment, can perform applicable activities, in compliance with the CDC guidelines.
