Dental Assisting Board-qualified in expanded functions
You must be considered board qualified in expanded functions. To do this, you must:
Train in the fundamentals of dental assisting.
Either have your current national DANB certification, or complete a board-approved curriculum in dental assisting.
Complete a board-approved training in each of the expanded functions, and successfully pass the board-approved exam in each of those functions.
If you completed your expanded functions training in another state, you may apply to the Idaho State Board of Dentistry to gain approval of those courses so that you may get your certificate.
