Career Care Institute’s Dental Assisting program is geared towards Career Care Institute’s Dental Assisting program is geared towards adequately preparing the graduate for an entry-level position in a dental office as a dental assistant. Students will learn how to function efficiently and successfully in most areas of dental assisting. Dental assistants typically work in dentist’s offices, group practice, dental specialty practice (endodontic, periodontics, prosthodontics, etc.), school clinics, laboratories, dental supply companies, and insurance companies, among many other options. In campuses where dental assisting is offered, Career Care Institute is authorized by the Dental Board of California to certify students in Coronal Polish, Radiation Safety and 8-hour Infection Control. Students will also attain a Basic Life Support card from the American Heart Association. Upon graduation of the program and 6 months of experience, you will be eligible to apply for the Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) Written, Practical and Law and Ethics California State Board exams. You not only receive your Coronal Polishing certificate but also your 8-hour Infection Control, Radiation Safety and BLS from Career Care Institute.
